Ticketing carrier
The airline whose stock the ticket is issued on (plating carrier). Distinct from the operating carrier that flies a segment. Matters for interline, refunds and revenue accounting.
In interline itineraries, the ticketing carrier’s rules govern many servicing flows. Systems should record both ticketing and operating carriers per segment and at ticket level to avoid ambiguity in mid‑office and reporting.
