One Order
IATA’s initiative to simplify airline retailing by replacing the legacy e‑ticket and PNR pair with a single Order and Order ID. One Order aligns with NDC and modernises fulfilment, accounting and interline through an order‑centric model.
In legacy flows, an airline sale produces multiple artefacts: a PNR in a reservation system and an e‑ticket in a ticketing database, sometimes with inconsistent states. One Order collapses this into a single Order record. For agencies and consolidators, that simplifies downstream servicing and finance — the Order is the source of truth for payment, documents and changes.
Adoption is gradual and uneven. Operators should design their mid‑office and data models so an airline Order can be captured intact, while still handling tickets and PNRs for carriers that are not yet on One Order.

NDC beside GDS and LCC: a practical approach for agencies
