Merchant of record (MoR)
The legal entity that appears on the buyer’s card statement and is responsible for chargebacks, refunds and compliance. Distinct from the supplier of the service.
MoR assignment must be unambiguous per booking. Record it in the order with the payment processor reference so downstream finance and support can act quickly.
