LCC (Low‑Cost Carrier)
Airlines that typically distribute through direct web APIs instead of traditional GDS channels. LCCs often have different fare rules, ancillaries and servicing patterns compared to legacy carriers.
Because LCC APIs are diverse, aggregators and unified APIs provide a consistent schema across them. Agents should be able to search, book and service LCCs with the same order model they use for GDS and NDC.
