Sub‑agent
A downstream agency in a distribution network that buys from a master agency or consolidator under agreed markups, credit limits and branding.
Multi‑tier hierarchies manage users, branding and pricing per tier. Sub‑agents may also have their own sub‑agents, inheriting rules from above. In practice, sub‑agents book through the master agency’s B2B travel portal software, where those rules apply at the moment of sale.

Selling travel to sub-agents abroad: currency, FX and credit
The first agents outside your home market usually arrive by accident. A partner in another country asks for access, someone on your desk quotes them in your currency, and it works well enough. Then a second market follows, and a third. Now your sub-agents pay in different currencies, your suppliers bill in others, tax rules differ by country, and month-end means reconciling exchange rates nobody wrote down.
